IMPACT Meet-up: Zero Waste Christmas Social

Our awesome friends at Zero Waste London are hosting a free joint Christmas social with Impact Festival, Sunny Jar Eco Hub and the Sustainable Development Goals Network!

With so many different groups and organisations doing amazing work around sustainability in London, they want to celebrate these achievements so we will be jointly hosting the social with Alex and Delia from Zero Waste London, Linda & Maud from Sunny Jar Eco Hub and Sandra, Zhenya & Priya from the Sustainable Development Goals Network!

Our Christmas social will be a chance to share your Zero Waste experiences from the year, meet other Zero Wasters and sustainability change-makers, make new friends, and find out more about about what we’ve got planned for 2021!

Sunny Jar Eco Hub also going to be running an arts and crafts table where you can sit around and make unique Christmas decorations for your home, or a sustainable cracker!
To take part, bring along anything that you might have lying around at home or in the office that has any kinds of festive pictures, patterns, colours or design on it such old magazines, newspapers, flyers and even old Christmas cards! Scissors and glue (if you have any at home) will come in handy as well.

We’ll be holding the event at the fantastic Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle. If you haven't been to Mercato before, they have every kind of cuisine you can imagine so bring along your tupperware or lunch box and enjoy some fantastic food and drinks from one of the plethora of stalls. They also have lots of space, so we'll be in a fantastic room at the back, which is through a doorway between the Gourmet Fish Burgers/Fish & Chips stall and the Hand Pulled Noodles & Dumplings stall.

Whether you are just beginning to think about how to go Zero Waste, or a seasoned professional, everyone is welcome - we're a non-judgemental group of Londoners just looking to help & support each other in moving toward a brighter future.

How to find us: Look for the Gourmet Fish Burgers/Fish & Chips stall or the Hand Pulled Noodles & Dumplings stall. Go through the doorway between these two stalls, and we'll be in that room (look for the craft table!) If you can't find us, give Delia a call on 07873 546622 and she'll be able to direct you to us!
